Our wonderful Childcare Quality Coaches are part of what makes Koru Kids support so great. They’re on hand to offer a listening ear and lots of friendly advice, to help smooth out any hiccups along the way with your new nanny. It’s nice to put a face to a name, so meet our lovely coaches below:
Kelly – Childcare Quality & Community Lead
After studying and working in performing arts, Kelly went down a completely different career path and qualified in Childcare and Family support. She spent the next 12 years supporting children, families, and professionals, both emotionally and practically within Children’s Centres and Early Help Hubs for the local authority. After having her own children, Kelly used her experience to set up her own childminding business, as well as an after-school club. She also set up a network to support others wanting to become a childminder. Kelly went on to work for the NSPCC delivering the ‘Speak Out Stay Safe’ programme to primary school children, and working as an online Childline counsellor.
Outside of Koru Kids, when not looking after her own children, Kelly loves to go to yoga, paddle boarding and to explore the many coffee shops that the Cotswolds have to offer!
Emma – Childcare Quality Coach (Home Nursery)
Emma joined Koru Kids with a background in social care recruitment, and school nurseries. More recently, Emma worked in a preschool setting, progressing onto deputy manager and SENCo. She completed a BA Honours degree in Early Years, specialising in SEN and Inclusion, centred on parent partnership working.
Emma lives in Solihull with her husband and two children—11 and 9—and their cheeky, fox-red Labrador! When she’s not playing taxi driver to her children, Emma loves walking through the stunning local countryside, grabbing a coffee with friends, and just hanging out with her family.
Lianne – Online Community Coach
Lianne worked in pre-schools before she did a Masters in Business and Enterprise. She ran a successful business as a childminder, which naturally fueled her social media business. She brings all that expertise into her role at Koru Kids.
Lianne is married with two children, 5 and 3, but no pets—her kiddies and husband make enough mess! They currently live in the Cotswolds, but Lianne misses the sea in Cornwall where she grew up. She spends her spare time training for a half marathon, watching sports, knitting and crocheting, making silver jewellery, or pottering away in the garden.
Sarah – Childcare Quality Coach, Home Nursery & Nanny Service
Sarah trained professionally to become a primary school teacher, and worked in several pre-schools. She’s excited to share her educational experience with the Koru Kids team.
Sarah’s married, and lives by the seaside with her two teenagers, a dog, cat…and horse!
She loves spending time with her family, travelling when possible, and at the yard helping with her daughter’s horse.
