Find the perfect nanny for your family’s needs

Every child is different. Some days they’re tired. Some days they’re full of energy. The benefit of an after school nanny is that they can adapt to your child’s needs, whether that’s running off energy before bed in the park, or snuggling up and reading on the sofa.

Go online and browse nannies in your area who meet your family’s needs, from here you can message and arrange interviews and trials, and we take care of the rest.

Simple all-in pricing & no admin headache

Our simple hourly rates are different to other sites. They include the employer costs you might not expect like holiday pay, taxes and pension. They also include your fee to us – this means we don’t have to charge a chunky upfront amount. We provide your nanny with a free Enhanced DBS check, online first aid training and include our employer support (worth £350 a year).

There is a £129 set-up fee the first time you hire a nanny with us.

Our nanny’s rates are based on their experience which we verify with references. Nannies with 3+ years of experience can set their own rates.

<1 year of experience (£15.50-£17.95/hour)

These nannies are often university students who will have volunteered, babysat or nannied before. The rates differ for age and location.

1 year of experience (from £17.65/hour)

Need a nanny with parental instinct or more experience? These nannies’ have their own kids or a minimum of 1 year of formal childcare experience.

2+ years of experience (from £18 hour)

For those looking for more formal childcare experience, for example, in schools or nurseries. These nannies’ have 2+ years of formal experience.

3+ years of experience (from £19/hour)

Looking for a professional nanny? Our career nannies have a minimum of 3+ years (most have more) experience in a nursery or as a nanny.

A nanny agency for busy lives

What makes us different?

We’re not a traditional agency. Our simple and hassle-free platform is built for busy parents.

We don’t charge a huge upfront free. Our fee is included in the nanny’s hourly rate — so if they don’t work, we don’t earn. There is a one-off £129 set-up fee the first time your hire a nanny with us.

Our service is fully comprehensive so we’ll take care of everything you need to legally employ your nanny without patchworking different agencies.

Don't just take our word for it

You might be wondering

We include all the costs associated with hiring a nanny in the hourly rate you see on the platform. This is the nanny’s pay, taxes, your employer taxes and pension. We also include our service fee in the hourly rate so there isn’t a big upfront cost like with other agencies.

The first time you hire a nanny with us there is also a £129 set-up fee.
It depends. Some nannies might have worked in an area for years but not live there. Others will live close-by. Many are happy to travel for the right family and job.

It varies. Some nannies will drive and have their own car. Some will have a driving licence so can be insured on your family car.

All of our nannies speak fluent English. For most, it’s their first language, but many speak other languages as well. Our nannies come from a range of backgrounds, so just let us know on the registration form if you have any language requirements and we’ll do our best to send you nannies who speak that language. If it’s a bonus rather than a deal breaker, the number of potential nannies we can show you really increases.

As you will be the legal employer of your nanny, the contract exists between you and them. Koru Kids will write the contract for you so you don’t need to worry. When we set up your contract, we will ask you to complete our set-up form which will ask for some preferences. We’ll then send out a draft version of your contract for you to review.
Our standard nanny contracts have a 2 week probation period with 24 hours notice. After the probation period, the notice period is 2 weeks. If you do need to bring the contract to an end, you simply need to provide your nanny with the agreed notice period. We’ll be there to support you with all the next steps to ensure your contract is finalised.

You may be able to pay using childcare vouchers or tax-free childcare, provided your nanny is Ofsted registered. Some nannies will have an existing registration and others will need to register. We can provide you with all the information to do this. It usually costs about £500 as your nanny will need to attend certain training on-top of the registration fee.

Many nannies will have Enhanced DBS checks and First Aid certificates that are still valid. If they have expired we’ll run a new DBS and book them onto an in-person First Aid course before they start.
