Nanny Hiring Brought into the 21st Century

We've combined the best of tech and real people to help you find your family's perfect nanny.

Whether it’s your first time recruiting a nanny and it feels daunting, or you’ve done this before and still carry the scars – don’t worry, we’ve got you. We’ve taken care of all the fiddly bits to create a seamless service.

We only accept the top 10% of nannies, so you’re getting access to the best and if you need a helping hand we’re only ever a phone call or WhatsApp away.

Nanny vs. Nursery

Is a nanny right for your family?

Nannies offer personalised care in your home. Your little one gets to stay in their familiar environment in the rhythm and routine they’re used to.

Nannies can tailor your child’s day around their interests whether that’s spending time outdoors, visiting farms or splashing in the swimming pool.

If you’ve heard tales of nursery bugs galore then you’ll be reassured nannies can look after and comfort children when they’re sick.

Your day will also be less rushed as nannies can work longer days and you don’t have to rush for pick ups and drop offs.

Access to only the very best

We have years of experience in recruiting nannies and our selection and vetting means only the top 10% make it to our network.

We check for a valid First Aid Certificate, Enhanced DBS check and their right to work in the UK.

Two glowing references, one has to be a full time childcare role.

All nannies must have our 6 core competencies, including a passion for childcare, empathy, reliability and great feedback skills.

3+ years experience as a nanny for under 5s, or less with experience in nurseries or childminders plus additional childcare qualifications.

Simple pricing

You can put your calculator away. Our all-in hourly rate keeps things simple.

Our nannies cost from £17ph but unlike other services, we like to keep things simple. This all-in rate includes all of the nanny’s pay, pension, taxes and our service fee. The first time you hire a nanny with us you’ll also pay a one-off set-up fee of £129.

Many agencies and nannies will quote their nanny pay in “gross”. This won’t include their pension, employer NI, insurance or any employer support or holiday pay for your nanny. So while our rates might seem more expensive. You can have peace of mind that there are no hidden costs at the end of the month.

Don't just take our word for it

You might be wondering

We include all the costs associated with hiring a nanny in the hourly rate you see on the platform. This is the nanny’s pay, taxes, your employer taxes and pension. We also include our service fee in the hourly rate so there isn’t a big upfront cost like with other agencies.

The first time you hire a nanny with us there is also a £129 set-up fee.
It depends. Some nannies might have worked in an area for years but not live there. Others will live close-by. Many are happy to travel for the right family and job.

It varies. Some nannies will drive and have their own car. Some will have a driving licence so can be insured on your family car.

All of our nannies speak fluent English. For most, it’s their first language, but many speak other languages as well. Our nannies come from a range of backgrounds, so just let us know on the registration form if you have any language requirements and we’ll do our best to send you nannies who speak that language. If it’s a bonus rather than a deal breaker, the number of potential nannies we can show you really increases.

As you will be the legal employer of your nanny, the contract exists between you and them. Koru Kids will write the contract for you so you don’t need to worry. When we set up your contract, we will ask you to complete our set-up form which will ask for some preferences. We’ll then send out a draft version of your contract for you to review.
Our standard nanny contracts have a 2 week probation period with 24 hours notice. After the probation period, the notice period is 2 weeks. If you do need to bring the contract to an end, you simply need to provide your nanny with the agreed notice period. We’ll be there to support you with all the next steps to ensure your contract is finalised.

You may be able to pay using childcare vouchers or tax-free childcare, provided your nanny is Ofsted registered. Some nannies will have an existing registration and others will need to register. We can provide you with all the information to do this. It usually costs about £500 as your nanny will need to attend certain training on-top of the registration fee.

Many nannies will have Enhanced DBS checks and First Aid certificates that are still valid. If they have expired we’ll run a new DBS and book them onto an in-person First Aid course before they start.
