How to raise ‘high agency’ kids.

In a world of AI, the skills that will be actually useful in future are so uncertain.
– Creativity and art are great but… AI is increasingly replacing humans
– Analytical thinking was my personal ticket but… AI’s getting better at that too
– We used to think languages were uniquely human but… Meta glasses already do simultaneous language translation (!)
Being ‘high agency’ is the one thing that definitely will NOT become obsolete.
– Making things happen
– Not waiting for permission or direction to do things.
– Instead, looking around, figuring out what needs doing, and getting started.
I’m always thinking about ways to develop this in my own kids.
And I’ve summed up the 10 BEST specific, practical ways to do so.
