We are looking for an all-rounder to join us for a 4 month paid growth internship in our early years nanny team. This exciting role has the potential to become permanent for the right candidate after this time.

In the last few years, we’ve trained over 15,000 after school nannies across the UK and launched home nurseries for little ones. But with childcare, we know that one size doesn’t fit all. To help even more families find the childcare that’s right for their family, we’ve recently launched our full-day early years nannies service.

Your mission will be to grow this new service. Primarily, your role will be focused on figuring out how we recruit fabulous nannies and spread the Koru Kids word to parents. You'll be supported by marketing experts across the business and will be using data to understand the effectiveness of your initiatives. You should also be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get stuck into the day to day running of the service.

We're based in London but the role can be done from anywhere in the UK.


Why this role is important to Koru Kids:

Finding good quality childcare is a painful process for families. We exist to change this for families around the world, starting here in the UK. This role is instrumental to helping launch our latest service, early years nannies.

When children are cared for in the best way possible, parents have more space to work or just catch a breath and the whole family can flourish.


About you

We don't expect you to have any formal marketing experience, but to give you a flavour of what you'll be doing, here are some tasks:

  • Develop our Facebook group sharing strategy

  • Own our Facebook group

  • Write blogs to inspire nannies and families

  • Experiment with job boards to improve performance (with support)

  • Help prioritise and work through marketing backlog


You should also be:

A typical day


It’s the company standup where you hear our nanny service GM Kellie talking through trading performance and how we’re looking against targets.


 It’s time to check-in on how our nanny applications are doing. You notice they have dropped and so share the job in local facebook groups.


Creative time! You spoke to a nanny yesterday who was confused about Ofsted registration and have the idea to write a blog to explain the pros and cons.


Time to enjoy the sunshine and grab some lunch.


You're organising an ambassador scheme and interview a couple of Koru Kids nannies to make sure they're up to the job of referring other nannies. Luckily they both seem great, and you have confidence they'll be able to convince other nannies to sign up.


You join a brainstorming session on new channels we could try to find more experience nannies.


Time for daily job board maintenance to wind down your day. You post some new jobs with tweaked copy and take down the roles of families who have already found a nanny.


Time to grab the last bit of sun for the day, ready to start fresh for tomorrow

Important things to know...

Timing: We'd like to have the right person join the team in June.

Flexibility: The role can be done flexibly. We welcome parents and would love to discuss any other working arrangements that make it possible for you to be part of our team.

Salary: The salary for this role is London Living Wage - £11.05 per hour.

Career progression:At the end of the internship, there is a potential for a full-time permanent role. We take Career development at Koru Kids very seriously, with regular feedback every 3 months, and promotion boards (to decide on your pay and progression), sitting every 6 months.

Location: You can do this role from anywhere in the UK and earn the same salary as you would if you were in London (where we are based). We welcome applications from people living outside London. Outside the UK is more complicated as it has tax and other implications, so we are unlikely to hire someone living outside the UK.
