This list also applies if you have been asked to bring documents to First Aid training.

You need to bring THREE DOCUMENTS so we can run background checks.

If you are struggling with this or aren't able to bring your documents right now, please still come along to Boot Camp! Bringing one or two documents is better than bringing none at all.

First, select if you're a UK/EU/EEA national, or from outside the UK/EU/EEA by clicking one of the buttons below.

I’m a UK, EU or EEA national

I’m from outside of the UK/EU/EEA

I’m a UK, EU or EEA national

You need to bring THREE DOCUMENTS so we can run background checks.

Step 1: Please bring your current and valid UK/EEA passport.

If you don’t have a current and valid UK/EEA passport, then get in touch with us by emailing care@korukids.co.uk with the subject ‘Documents help’, or click on the red button in the bottom right corner to chat, or call us on 020 8050 5678.

Step 2: Please bring any TWO of these, one of which needs to show your current London address (or show your home address if that’s still your ‘permanent residence’):

• Current and valid driving licence (it can be provisional!)
• UK birth certificate or adoption certificate
• UK marriage/civil partnership certificate
• A valid EEA National ID card
• A bank statement showing a date from the last 3 months (this can't just be printout – see below!)
• A credit card statement showing a date from the last 3 months (this can't just be printout – see below!)
• A utility bill (e.g. water, electricity, internet) showing a date from the last 3 months (this can't be a mobile phone bill or just be a printout – see below!)
• A benefit statement (e.g. Child Benefit, pension) showing a date from the last 3 months
• P45 or P60 showing a date from the last 12 months
• A council tax statement showing a date from the last 12 months
• A government or council letter (e.g. from Student Finance, from HMRC) showing a date from the last 3 months

What if I already have a DBS certificate?

Is it from within the last 10 months or on the automatic update service? Great, bring it along! In this case you can ignore step 2 above and just bring your passport. If it's older, please do step 2 as well.

Can I bring printouts of my documents?

No – bank statements, utility bills etc. must be the original documents printed by the company issuing them. But don’t worry, it’s really quick to just pop into the bank and request a print out from them, or request one online or on your banking app!

What documents don't work?

  • Please do not bring a tenancy agreement letter or tenancy bill.
  • Please do not bring a mobile phone bill.
  • General correspondence or adverts from banks or utility companies won't work either – it needs to be an actual statement or bill.

I’m struggling with this!

Please come along to Boot Camp, even if you aren’t able to bring your documents right now.

Or contact us to have chat about it beforehand!

Email care@korukids.co.uk with the subject ‘Documents help’, or click on the red button in the bottom right corner to chat.

Or call us on 020 8050 5678.
