All our nannies need to get an enhanced criminal records check from the DBS (Disclosure & Barring Service). It is really important for ensuring the safety of children and forms part of our standard contract with families.
If you already have an Enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months, click here to upload it.
If you don't have a valid DBS check, Koru Kids will process a new one for you (and cover the costs) as soon as a family agrees to hire you.
The DBS requires 3 documents to confirm your identity. Typically these need to be seen in person. However, for a temporary period due to COVID-19, guidance has changed and we can check these via video call.
Click the button below to learn more about which documents you need and to book a slot for a video call. During the call we will take a look at the documents and tell you all about the next steps.
Importantly, none of this should stop you from chatting to families or going to interviews with them.
