Never hear ‘I’m booored’ again. Meet our newest after school nannies

Here at Koru Kids, we help families find great quality, flexible after school childcare. We couldn’t do this without our brilliant nannies, who each bring their own individual hobbies, passions and experiences to the role. We wanted to showcase some of our newest recruits, including homework hero Harry, yoga lover Beatrice and Simi who can’t wait to make slime with the kids!

Manchester, say hello to after school nanny Simi

Cognitive Neuroscience & Psychology student Simi from Manchester has previously nannied for numerous families with kids aged 2-6 years old. Her interests don’t end with science, Simi also loves to get creative—her artistic talents range from crochet to oil painting, to name a few. As a STEM student, Simi is keen to encourage kids to take part in “fun science related experiments, like making slime or elephant toothpaste!”

Meet Beatrice in Brighton

Beatrice comes from a big Italian family, so has lots of experience looking after her younger cousins. She has also previously been an au pair in Spain for two boys and is currently a part-time neonatal nurse in Brighton! Beatrice speaks both Italian and Spanish and in her spare time enjoys yoga and learning about different cultures.

Meet after school nanny Gabbi

This is Gabbi, a Law student at the University of Birmingham. Originally from St Ives in Cornwall, she grew up on a farm so has developed a huge love for animals and the outdoors. Gabbi previously taught English as a foreign language online to students aged 3+ all over the world. One of her favourite things about being a part-time nanny is “being able to help out within a family and become a part of their lives, to make things easier!”

Brighton, meet Harry

Based in Brighton, Scout leader and Sustainable Development student Harry loves the outdoors. Harry is a bit of a homework hero, having previously helped kids he’s nannied with KS1 and KS2 homework. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and sports, particularly football.

Meet Manchester student Dorcas

Psychotherapy student Dorcas loves to sing and song-write and is excited to bring her musical skills to her nanny role! She has work experience in two nursery schools; her main responsibilities were leading activities, supervising nap time and helping with meal times. Dorcas also enjoys sport and is a keen runner.

So whether you’re keen for your kids to spend more time outdoors or learn a new language, our nannies have an array of talents and hobbies they’d love to introduce to your kids. You can browse part-time nannies in your area for free here.
